How To Adopt:

Our adoption process is very simple and easy.  You simply complete our adoption aplication form in it's entirety. We will go over the form with you and answer any questions that you may have regarding the adoption process.

On the form we request references which we promptly check.  We also will visit you at your home and discuss the pet you have an interest in adopting.
 
Once you are approved, a placement fee of $75 for cats and $150 is paid to Fur Angels Animal Sanctuary.

Our placement fee covers the cost of your new pet's neutering/spaying, immunizations and vet check.

At that time, we will schedule a day for you to bring your pet home.

Many of the animals that we rescue are the "unwanted ones"  deaf animals, dumped animals and animals that are harder to place due to breed misconceptions such as pit bulls.  As you are aware, we are very selective of adoption and foster homes, not every one qualifies.  In some cases,w e may suggest a different pet or suggest that you reapply again in the future.

Other Options

Many times people want to help but for whatever reason, cannot adopt an animal at this time.  If this sounds like you - there are other options such as:
 
Becoming a foster parent - If you have the room to open your home to one of our rescue animals while we search for a forever home - being a foster parent may be the ideal scene for you.  You may work with an animal to get him or her to adapt to a household or take in an animal who is already housebroken - just needs a place to rest his or her head and get fed until we find a forever home. 

Foster parents complete an application complete with references. 

Becoming an emergency foster parent - these foster parents are the last ones called and only in dire situations. We know we can count on them to jump in and help us board an animal at their home until another foster home can make room or we can get the animal adopted.

Become an advocate - Advocates are needed immediately.  Advocates may volunteer time as well as make monetary donations of $100 a month or more.  Advocates also are contacted if donations need to be raised.

Becoming a sponsor - Quite simply for $30 a month, we will send you a photo of your sponsored pet.  Each month you will receive a note from the foster parent with updates on your sponsored pet. 

Making a donation - monetary donations are greatly needed.
